Jessica Yadira Hurtado was born and raised in sunny Southern California. She holds 4 degrees, including an M.B.A., and has 18 years of analytical experience. She wanted to be a Soldier since she was a little girl and quickly joined the U.S. Army after high school, where her analytical career began. Jessica believes that our training in the world never quite looks like our God-given assignment. Although she trained with the government, she now uses her analytical background to partner with the Holy Spirit to minister to the body of Christ. Her biggest desire is to help simplify the Word for believers and non-believers alike to be able to understand the text found in the scriptures. Reading over something is not the same as comprehending it. She loves to take the text and break it down in order to try to apply it to our everyday living.
She has been married for 15 years and has three children, Josue, Jessebella, and Maximilliano. She loves to read and write about the Word of God; devotionals are her favorite. Writing devotions for her church is one way she ministers to the body of Christ. When she’s not busy writing or chasing after her kiddos, she’s outdoors hiking or snuggling up with a good book.
